ReDesign Our City
As an artist, I have seen the power of art and culture and how it can mold cities and the people that live in them. All spaces should be accessible for people to choose to live in them, but we know that is not the case. There are things that make people feel welcome or subtly tell them “this city is not for you.” Art and culture has a power, I believe to make people feel welcome and to help them carve out their space in community. Below is a presentation that I had the honor of giving as part of the Black Designers Ignite Project - Redesign Our City.
Make it stand out.
